Meet Me On Monday hosted by Java
This fun meme is hosted by Java at Never Growing Old.
Java will add a linky so we can follow who participates and get to know them better!! Be sure to link the POST and not just your whole blog.
1. What are you wearing right now?
2. Do you have any freckles?
3. What is your favorite Lifesaver flavor?
4. What is the last movie you saw in the theater?
5. Would you rather live without tv or without music?
My Answers.
1. Usually I am in sweats, but right now I am wearing jeans, a short sleeved blouse and socks. Although it is cold in my office, the frequent hot flashes keep me warm!
Of course, this is not me! |
This little angel has freckles and she is very proud that she can touch her nose with her tongue! |
3. My favorite Lifesaver flavor is LIME!
Lime lifesavers, Key lime pie, margarita's..it's all good! |
4. The last movie I saw was The King's Speech. I really did not have any desire to see this movie but Hubby asked me out for a movie date and I let him pick what we would see. To be honest with you, this movie is now on my all time favorite list. From the moment it started, I was hooked. The story, the acting, the costumes, the era it was set in..I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
5. I can not choose between Music and TV! Oh my goodness, I guess if I HAD to choose it would be MUSIC...can I still go out dancing or do I have to give it up all together. Java, this is a very hard question!
Television or... |
I guess I would have to flip a coin to decide which one I would live without.
New Toy
I was at the pet store buying my little darlings canned food ( which they will surely stick up their noses at ) and I found this wonderful toy called Thing in a Bag. I had seen something similar at a craft show and thought this would be the perfect toy for the furry kids.
First, let me tell you, these cats are not only finicky with their food, they are picky when it comes to toys. Catnip does not interest them, Turbo Track..no way, feathers will keep their interest for a few minutes and the list goes on. I have spent so much money on toys but being the good Mommy that I am, I keep trying to find that purrrfect toy!
So, when I was at the store scouring the shelves for something new, I saw one ( beat up) box of a Thing in a Bag! I had hit pay dirt, this was the toy I knew would keep their interest and I could not wait to get home to try it.
When I got home, I read the directions ( or thought I had), got my screwdriver out and attempted to put in the batteries. My first mistake was not reading the directions thoroughly. I saw four screws, loosened them, opened the battery case up...there was nowhere to put four batteries! *%&#
I got the box out of the trash and looked at the diagram..I had opened the wrong side!!! Now I had to put the darn thing back together. A spring flew out, the on/off button fell on the floor, my patience was running thin but I finally pieced it back together. I looked at the diagram once more, turned the contraption over and saw one, lowly screw to loosen. Boy, that made it a lot easier! I put the battery pack in the bag and placed this treasure on the floor then called my darlings in to see it.
On the bag is a small dark circle. When you push on the circle, it activates the battery which makes the bag vibrate and "walk" around the floor. The vibration is on a pulse mode, vibrating for about 30 sec. then be still for the same amount of time.
The best parts happened so fast, I could not catch them on camera. Every time the bag would vibrate, Cecil would jump straight up in the air and Chloe would arch her back. I think I had more fun watching them, than they did playing with it.
Unfortunately, this only keeps them entertained for about five minutes then they turn their backs, flick their tails and walk away.
Disclaimer: I paid for this toy with my own, hard earned, money. I was not asked to review the Thing in a Bag, nor was I compensated for this post. Now, if anyone out there want's to compensate me...feel free to do so!!!!!!

Chloe was the first victim! |
Very brave..as long as it was still! |
Curiosity got the better of Cecil! |
You get it....No, you! |
Cecil..The Mancat!!! |
Chloe..,such a lady, observing her brother. |
Cecil, keeping guard over the the new toy! |

Why American men should boycott American women
http://boycottamericanwomen.blogspot.com/
I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don’t know how to cook or clean, don’t want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?
American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.
This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.

3. I do not have any cousins..my Mom, and Dad were both an only child.

These are the questions she posted tonight.
1. Did you know there is a National Day of pretty much everything in the universe? February 23 happens to be National Inconvenience Yourself Day...when was the last time you were inconvenienced?
2. When a room in your house needs painting who does the job?
3. Are you friends with your cousins?
4. Do you use an alarm clock? If yes-is it an actual alarm, music, or something else?
5. What do you put ketchup on?
6. What smells make you nostalgic?
7. Have you heard about the high school English teacher recently suspended as a result of some things she wrote in her personal blog? You can read the story here but in a nutshell she vented a lot of frustration onto her blog. She didn't mention individual students by name but she did make some harsh comments about kids in general and their parents.
What are your thoughts-If you're a parent is your child's teacher online and are you 'friend' or 'follower' there? If you're a teacher are you on facebook and do you accept or friend students on fb? How about their parents? If you're a student are you friends with your current or former teachers online? Do any of them have blogs you read? If you're a teacher or a parent do you ever use your blog as a place to vent your frustrations with our educational system? So much to discuss...
8. Insert your own random thought here.
My Answers:
1. I can not remember the last time I was inconvenienced. Hubby might say the last time we went out to eat and it took almost an hour to get a burger. Me, I take things in stride and try not to get worked up over little things. Now, I am not a Polly Anna but maybe if more people could just take a

MONSTER TRUCK SHOW!!!!
Many years ago, when the grand kiddo's were younger, I decided to give each child one special gift for Christmas instead of many small things that would get lost in the shuffle. With such a big family, the kids do not lack for gifts and I wanted to do something special that they would always remember.
Early on, I decided to plan a special Boy's Day Out and, in turn, the Girl's would get their special time. By doing this, the Girl's could pick an activity more suited to them (they love mani and pedi day out) and the Guy's would do something more manly!
The Girl's, being older, usually pick out their special activity while I choose for the Guy's.
This year I bought the boy's tickets for the Monster Truck Show and if you could have seen their expressions on Christmas Eve when they opened their envelopes......well, it was priceless! They were grinning ear to ear, jumping up and down, screaming their thank yous....Oh, I love these little Guy's!!
Last Sunday, all five of us ( earplugs in hand) arrived at the event center for two hours of Monster Trucks flying through the air! The roar of the engines was unbelievable! Even with earplugs, the sound was deafening! It was an amazing show and, best of all, one truck was driven by a woman!
As you can see, this is not a very big venue for such massive trucks! |
Love the Ear Plugs! |
This was beautiful and, by gosh, the singer was able to sing all the correct words! |
Here we go! The red truck, the Tasmanian Devil, is driven by a Woman! |
Oh my goodness! |
Can you imagine? |
Even the Big Boy had fun! |
This motorcycle ran on jet fuel! |
The motorcycle shooting fire out the back! |
The woman who drove the Tasmanian Devil..my favorite! |
The Grave Digger..the boys favorite! |
Priceless!! |
