These are the questions she posted tonight.
1. Did you know there is a National Day of pretty much everything in the universe? February 23 happens to be National Inconvenience Yourself Day...when was the last time you were inconvenienced?
2. When a room in your house needs painting who does the job?
3. Are you friends with your cousins?
4. Do you use an alarm clock? If yes-is it an actual alarm, music, or something else?
5. What do you put ketchup on?
6. What smells make you nostalgic?
7. Have you heard about the high school English teacher recently suspended as a result of some things she wrote in her personal blog? You can read the story here but in a nutshell she vented a lot of frustration onto her blog. She didn't mention individual students by name but she did make some harsh comments about kids in general and their parents.
What are your thoughts-If you're a parent is your child's teacher online and are you 'friend' or 'follower' there? If you're a teacher are you on facebook and do you accept or friend students on fb? How about their parents? If you're a student are you friends with your current or former teachers online? Do any of them have blogs you read? If you're a teacher or a parent do you ever use your blog as a place to vent your frustrations with our educational system? So much to discuss...

2. When a room needs painting we both do it. Hubby is a much better painter but I like to help. He is better at edging and I like to roll the walls.
3. I do not have any cousins..my Mom, and Dad were both an only child.
4. Yes and No. I set an alarm clock but it rarely goes off because I have a wonderful internal alarm. Usually I wake up ten minutes before the MUSIC alarm goes off. In Loveland I wake up to;
5. I put Ketchup on French Fries!
6. The smell that makes me nostalgic is Opium perfume, that my Mother used.
7. My children are adults with children of their own. My son is a High School teacher and I know he does not have a FB account, nor does he blog.
8. My random thought is .... I enjoyed this blog hop even though it took way to long to complete. I was trying to talk on the phone and type at the same time..just does not work for me!
I will leave you with this:
Don't get your knickers in a knot. Nothing is solved and it just makes you walk funny.

I enjoyed reading your answers! I really, really wish I had an internal alarm.
ReplyDeleteOh wait.
I do.
It's set for 11am.
Darn it for working! LOL
Have a great day!
I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd take a long overdue trip around blog world to catch up with my friends. I always learn something new about you when I pop over here, and the more I learn about ya, the more I love ya!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being such an amazing woman Shawn and even more than that, such a dear, dear friend!
With love,
Martha
I'm glad you joined in today...it was fun reading your answers. I use the 'knickers in a twist' expression quite a lot : ) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteLove that last quote! My husband and I are just the opposite on painting--he rolls and I (being the anal personality I am) do the cutting in.
ReplyDeleteI love your saying, "Don't get your knickers in a knot!" I always use the saying, "Don't get your panties in a wad." I guess they're one in the same, huh? Great answers...enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteShawn, go to my blog post. My mother wore Opium also. I wrote it reminded me of her also.
ReplyDeleteLove the Knickers in a twist comment!! Definitely don't want to be walking funny ;-) You did amazingly well if you were on the phone while blogging - I apparently have a one tract mind when it comes to blogging - I found like 3 typos this morning when I re-read my post!
ReplyDeleteI eat Thousand Island Dressing on my french fries - weird huh?? Sometimes I make my own if I'm eating out and the restaurant doesn't carry it.
Yes, taking an hour to get a hamburger is an inconvenience in my books.
ReplyDeleteI never realized some people don't have cousins, or Aunts and Uncles.
We play some music all night, so I need to have an actual alarm to wake me up.
phew, I'm so glad you didn't say ketchup on eggs. LOL. I love ketchup on fried, drowned in ketchup actually, mmm... making me hungry!
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed your answers too:) Thanks for keeping up on us, Dave is actually doing some of the same responsibilities as he was as 2nd councilor. He mainly is over the 12-18 year old boys and girls, he is actually the right hand man for the bishop. He helps out so that the bishop isn't over burdened and can take care of other matters in the ward. We are very grateful that he is able to serve the Lord in any way he is asked:)
ReplyDeleteMany Loves and Hugs to you and Bill <3
What a nice way to get to know you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Magical Mouse Schoolhouse. I am following you too :)
Those were good questions and answers! I can only really answer #4, we don't need an alarm, we have Sister Gracie and she takes that task seriously!!!
