Meet Me On Monday hop

Again, I am linking up with Java, @ Never Growing Old, for her fun Monday hop. This is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Questions:

1.  Have you (only you..not a group) ever won first place in anything?
2.  Are your toes always painted (sorry guys...this question for girls only)?
3.  What color eyes do you have?
4.  Look to your left....what do you see?
5.  Soft cookies or crunchy cookies?

My Answers:

1.  I can not think of a time that I have won a first place prize! Oh, poor me.
     Although, if I were to win an award a few pop to mind right now;

I award to Shawn, for constantly being on her computer:

The 2nd award goes to Shawn for only missing one day of work (because she was
puking her guts out) in the last 12 years:

Finally, the 3rd award goes to Shawn for always putting off until tomorrow what should have been done today.

 3.  No, my toe nails are not painted. I seem to do that in the summer.

Too cute!

3.  I have blue eyes that, depending on what I wear, can look lighter or darker.

4.  The spinning wheel, made by G.G.Grandfather, brought to U.S. in 1880.

Made in Norway and brought to the United States

5.  That is a toss up! I do prefer crunchy cookies if I am having them with a cup of tea.

  5. LOVE THE SPINNING WHEEL!!!

It's beautiful ~ and it's history makes it even more special. (Honeybunny's family is from Norway also - He's only the 4th generation in the US)

You and I would probably tie for the procrastinator's award. My goal this year is to become less so - but I've realized I'm going to have to come up with some kind of penalty if I hope to achieve it this year - but then I could put it off until 2012 and I might be successful by then ;-)

  6. Congratulations on your awards which I'm sure are well deserved. Even if you did have to do them yourself.

How neat to have a spinning wheel.

  17. Love all the answers!! When I was growing up I always thought I was from Scandinavia or Norway descent. Now I know:)
I love the spinning wheel. My Grandma Greer had an old fashioned spinning sewing machine. When she passed, my dad got it and it is in their front room now. I would sit for hours at her house spinning the wheel over and over. Sweet memories.
I love crunchy chocolate chip cookies with hot chocolate... YUMMY:)
I got my blue eyes from you!! Dave loves me in dark blue, it really brings out the blue. Since I had my catarachs (sp?) my eyes sparkle. My friends love looking at my eyes because of that.
I paint my toes only for the Summer. I let them "breathe" during the Winter. Crazy, I know:) LOL
Have a great week, Love and Miss you mucho!!!!

  19. Hej! Thank you for visiting my blog - and leaving such a nice comment!

My Mina can be (exactly like your Chloe) aloof around strangers - which is caused by her shyness. (I got to confess that I like to be HER human being - makes me feel special..) Lucy is more like your Cecil: always talking, exploring things and guests (and things of guests - especially bags - she is addicted to handbags..) She is my happy-go-lucky-feline. :")

I love your awards! Esp. the last one.. ;")

The spining wheel is awesome - are you able to use it? I learned that once but I didn't have the opportunity to do it since - well - 10(?) years.. My oh my.. time flies. ;")

And for the cookies: We can cleave - you are getting the crunchy ones while I'll get the soft ones. (And a big cup of tea for you and an ridiculous grand cup of coffee for me.)

So, see you an Monday!! Our kindest regards to your family (and cats - who, as I presume, ARE part of the family)
