Hi, My name is Shawn and I have been neglecting my blog!
Yes, I must confess I am a blog neglecter.. that isn't a word!
I can not use the excuse that I have been too busy, was on an extended vacation, life threw me a curve ball, work has been hectic...Nope..No Excuse!
I have enjoyed reading you blogs and making comments. I have enjoyed my trips through Face Book, keeping up with my family and friends. I have enjoyed Dogs with Blogs and Parents. Actually, I have posted on my other two blogs more frequently...and maybe that is the problem. Too many blogs..not enough bright ideas.
For now, just a quick update:
Summer is flying by..where is the time going? The Grand Kids come over Wednesday nights as often as they can....as they grow older, their schedules get busier.

Some of the special people in my life! |
There have been a few festivals in Loveland but we missed my favorite, The Cherry Pie Festival, last weekend. Last Saturday our sweet little mancat, Cecil, was diagnosed with Pancreatitis..you can read about it here. he is much better now but he gave us quite a scare.
We did make it to the Loveland Summer Fest.
There was music at the lagoon all day, ranging from bluegrass to rock.
I have been training for my Marathon....when I started I wondered how I would ever run the miles.
Last Saturday I ran/walked 20 miles..you can read about that here! Was it hard..Oh yes, but what a thrill when it was over! I can not wait to do the marathon in October!
We have enjoyed our family, our Fur babies and the wonderful hot summer! I don't know about you, but our area has experienced more thunder storms than usual. Our newest, Winston, is freaked out by the thunder boomers. He shakes so hard it breaks my heart. Last week I ordered a Thunder shirt which is supposed to help with his fear. I will keep you posted!

The kids are getting so big and I haven't even met them yet:( Give them my love!
When is the best time to visit Colorado? As soon as we can find out what is going to happen to the house, I want to start planning on a visit:)

Sally, I feel like I have know you for years. I am looking forward to the day we finally meet. Safe travels, and hope to hear from you soon.
ReplyDeleteWendy, Most anytime is a good time to visit. We usually have great weather in then fall. Winter is not too bad especially February. Spring is great but sometimes we get those big snow dumpers! My favorite..SUMMER! I love you and miss you too!
I am glad that a least you are having a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteWell done with your marathon and welcome back!
ReplyDeleteGlad your summer is going great with all these festivals and family fun! Winston is beautiful! Take care

We have the thunder suitvas as well but for seperation issues and it does work! Good luck with yours. Welcome back, I could not manage more than one blog! Don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeleteWell it sure looks like y'all have been having some fun! Hey Winston, it will be okay pal!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having a good summer. We've had crazy thunder storms here too...some in the morning which always seems odd. They are normally dinner time-just when we are firing up the grill. Oh well, I remember winter here so I'm not complaining : )
ReplyDeletePoor Winston!! I've never heard of a thunder suit - I'll have to read up on it!
ReplyDeleteI wish we were having thunder - it's a shame when all you can do is hope the tropical depression turns into a hurricane!
I have no idea how you keep up with more than one blog ~ I can't keep up with just one!
I love the blog today :) and thank you for stopping by and I love your support.
ReplyDeleteNana Shawn (smiles) You don't have to come to my rescue cause believe me Gina can be a spitfire if needed!!!
Blessings

PS Missy has been without internet for a couple of days and will return shortly.
Welcome back! Looks like you've had more important (not to mention more fun) things to do than sit in front of a computer!
ReplyDeleteSometimes "real life" gets in the way of blogging. That sure has been the case with me this year. First, I was sooooooo busy with school. And then I took the summer off to enjoy, only my father passed away. So I totally get it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about Cecil's pancreatitis and I hope he's feeling better.
Good luck with the marathon.
It looks like you have been having a pretty busy summer and a marathon? Wow! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are enjoying your summer.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know how the thunder shirt works. Tucker shakes during storms too. I try to never leave him when a storm is approaching.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have really been enjoying the summer! Maybe I should be following on the other blog? blogs? LOL
